Von Miller can't get enough time on the field.
In fact, he want's to play at least 90% of defensive snaps in the 2017 season. Wow.
Miller already played 81% of snaps last season, but he's determined to play more and better, saying:
"I'm trying to stay on the field a little bit longer. Be exposed to more plays, so I can make more plays."
Miller has already been an unstoppable force during training camp, but despite his intentions to spend more time on the field than ever before, his coaches may have to curb his enthusiasm just a bit.
Ahh injuries, the bane of the preseason. Already sidelined are outside linebackers Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett, who the Broncos will be lucky to have back in time for the start of the regular season. Right now that makes Miller the only outside linebacker on the roster who played for the Broncos last season.
So once practices are over and preseason games begin, you likely won't be seeing much from Miller. The Broncos are keen to keep him fresh and healthy for what everyone in Denver hopes will be an MVP season.
And if he's playing as much as he wants too, a slow start for Miller might be the best idea in the long run.
For now, you can catch him at training camp, putting on a show and signing autographs.
