Word on the street is that Trevor Siemian is pulling away from Paxton Lynch in the race to become the Broncos starting QB. People close to the organization have reported that right now Siemian is the guy who they'd want leading the offense.
Siemian was a very late round pick by the Broncos and Lynch was the guy they took the year after in the 1st round, hoping he would become their quarterback of the future. It doesn't look like that's the case right now. Siemian started all of last year, while Lynch sat the bench as a rookie. Lynch has all the physical tools to be able to throw the ball, but Siemian's smarts may be the key to him winning the job.
This training camp will go a long way in finding out who can play QB at a high level for the team.
NFL Network's James Palmer reported about it.
