Jerry Jones has a message for Cowboys fans
The Cowboys GM knows he is facing criticism.
Dallas Cowboys team owner and general manager Jerry Jones is well aware of the criticism surrounding him, especially after a lack of meaningful moves during the offseason after promising to go “all in” following their postseason loss to the Packers earlier in the year.
While meeting with media members at the start of Training Camp, Jones stated his desire to focus on the present.
”Dan’s got his year,” he said. “Contract. Let's focus right here. We all have a lot on the line for that playoff game."
Additionally, he said that he intentionally likes to “stir it up” when it comes to criticism of how he runs the franchise:
"I realize all the criticism and I understand it,” he said. “As a matter of fact, I try to stir it up. And I have since I got here. That's good. Be relevant. It works.”
As far as what the fans think, he wants them to know he’s “good at math” and knows what he’s doing.
”I want to say to our fans, I'm good with math, he said. “I'm very good. And I can stretch a dollar, because I can put a lot of energy, juice, and bullshit with it. And so I maximize what we've got to work with, I like to think, as well as anybody in sports."
