Jim Caldwell could soon be an NFL head coach again!

The respected Caldwell could soon be back on the NFL sidelines.

Could former Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell land another head coaching job in the NFL? According to a report released earlier today from NFL Network, it sounds like that chance is upon him.

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who terminated former Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer earlier this month after an absolutely disastrous 2-11 start to their season, plan on interviewing Caldwell for the position. Additionally, they plan to speak with ex-Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson.

A well respected figure in the NFL, Caldwell is known to Lions fans for leading them to two playoff appearances, albeit losses. He was let go after the 2017 season in order for the team to hire Matt Patricia, who was nothing short of a dumpster fire.

He began his coaching career with the Indianapolis Colts after taking over for the fired Tony Dungy, leading them to a 48-26 mark with one Super Bowl appearance and two playoff berths. He later took over as OC of the Baltimore Ravens before landing in Detroit.
