The NFL has come down on Joey Porter for his part in the meltdown that occurred at the end of Saturday's Wild Card win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Pittsburgh Steelers OLB coach was caught going on the field to talk trash with opposing Bengals players, after an illegal hit to the head of Steelers' wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict hit Brown coming down the middle of the field, and was flagged 15-yards for a hit on a defenseless receiver.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed that Porter will be fined by the NFL after his presence led to an additional 15-yard penalty on Adam 'Pacman' Jones.

Cincinnati Bengals left tackle Andrew Whitworth called Porter out for his unprofessional behavior.

"I hugged Mike Tomlin after the game, we apologized for the way it was played," Whitworth said on Monday, according to Coley Harvey of ESPN. "I have a lot of respect for the Steelers - but Joey Porter isn't one of them. Before the last game, Porter was at midfield motherf----n everybody."

Porter was an intense player with the Steelers, Dolphins and Cardinals–a trait that served him well. For most of his career, he was considered a top tier linebacker, and finished with 98 sacks in 12 seasons.

Maybe the Steelers should give him a bonus to compensate for the fine. After all, that 15-yard penalty made that Chris Boswell field goal way more makeable.
