JUST IN: Aaron Donald might retire if Rams win the Super Bowl!
Talk about going out on top!
The Los Angeles Rams are on the verge of taking on the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium - and should they ultimately get the job done, they could be losing a major part of the team.
According to a report from Rodney Harrison on the NBC Pre-Game Show, 3-time Defensive Player of the year Aaron Donald could retire should his team defeat the Bengals.
“He also told me this, if he wins a Super Bowl, there’s a strong possibility that he could walk away from the game and retire,” Harrison said. “…He just talked about wanting to spend more time with his family, and he talked about his body. Said he works really hard on his body year round and he’s achy.”
With eight Pro Bowls, seven All-Pros, all-decade honors for the 2010s and 98 career sacks, a Super Bowl ring would be the crowing achievement on the career of Donald.
