JUST IN: Dallas Cowboys complete trade with Raiders!
The move is in the books!
The Football Feed
Despite Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones having recently said that his team wasn't planning on making any additions to the roster with the NFL Trade Deadline fast approaching, he's reneged on that claim.
Minutes ago, reports surfaced that the Cowboys have acquired DT Johnathan Hankins from the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for draft compensation, which was later revealed to be in the form of a 2023 6th round pick.
The moves comes after the news broke yesterday that cornerback Jourdan Lewis would be missing the remainder of the season with a lower body injury that was suffered during Sunday's home victory against the Detroit Lions.
Hankins, another Michigan native like Lewis, played collegiate football at Ohio State University before being drafted by the New York Giants in the 2nd round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He's also suited up for the Indianapolis Colts in addition to his time with the Raiders. He's amassed 337 total tackles, 14.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries, and eight pass deflections during his career.
