The newest member of the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to express his excitement at joining his new team, all while remaining respectful of his old squad.
After officially inking his new four-year $20 million dollar contract with the Steelers, Green sent out two Tweets, one thanking Steelers' fans and the other saying a heartfelt goodbye to the Chargers and their fans.
"Also want to say thank you to the Chargers organization for drafting me and giving me 4 great years and allowing me to play and grow."
Green also stated that the passion that Steelers' fans have for their team played a major role in his decision to sign with the Steelers.
"Did I notice?" Green asked about the black and gold invasion of Qualcomm Stadium in Week 5. "I think everyone noticed the number of Steelersfans out there. When you saw the towels in there it was pretty bad for us because we had to go on silent count. We knew they were there."
"You want to be around that kind of stuff. It was a pretty big point in coming."
A thousand welcomes to you Ladarius, and good luck helping the Steelers towards the Stairway to Seven.
