Lamar Jackson is fast on the football field, but he wanted to show to his fans he was fast on the road too.
In a very dangerous manner...
Jackson landed on the hot seat on Wednesday when TMZ.com shared one of his Instagram videos showing him driving 105 mph. The seatbelt icon remains lit throughout the video, too. Jackson was listening to B2K and P Diddy's classic, "Bump Bump Bump" on the ride in his Mercedes.
While the video never showed Jackson being pulled over by police, he sure heard it from the Baltimore Ravens' fans and needed to apologize on Thursday. He issued an apology on his Twitter account.
"I made a bad decision and will set a better example going forward."
The 22-year-old became the youngest quarterback to start an NFL playoff game last season. The 32nd overall pick in last year's draft, Jackson replaced veteran quarterback Joe Flacco as the Ravens' starting quarterback, winning six of his seven regular-season starts and leading Baltimore to an AFC North title. Flacco was later traded to the Denver Broncos as Jackson has been named the Ravens' starter in 2019.
Last season, he recorded 1,201 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions. He also rushed for 695 yards and five scores.
