It has been a long journey for Jaylon Smith. The linebacker was the stud at his position group when he played for Notre Dame and was coming out for the NFL draft 2 years ago and then "poof!" his career was up in jeopardy. A fluke knee injury in Notre Dame's meaningless bowl game saw his draft stock plummet and the Dallas Cowboys took a chance on him in the 2rd round.
He didn't play at all in 2016 as he was rehabbing the knee injury. Well, he's back
Really excited not just for the Cowboys but for the kid as well. He's a special talent. An absolute freak athlete, he could see major playing time beside Mike linebacker, Sean Lee. Jaylon Smith could be the teams Will linebacker for the foreseeable future.
Exciting news for all Cowboys fans after a woeful offseason
