If only this were the truth.
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning spoke on Super Bowl 50 Opening Night about his longtime rival, New England Patriots Tom Brady, on Monday. He joked that Brady would be around for a long time to come.
"(Tom) Brady's gonna play until he's 70, (Bill) Belichick is gonna coach till he's 90. Maybe I hit the fountain of youth, play the next 10 years," Manning said, via NFL.com's Conor Orr.
Manning's rivalry with Brady, Belichick, and the New England Patriots is part of football lore, and is arguably the best feud in league history. Manning's Denver Broncos beat the Patriots 20-18 in the AFC Championship Game to advance to Super Bowl 50.
It's hard to imagine the league without Brady and Manning, even if he was kidding around.
