The Dallas Cowboys are moving on in the NFL postseason thanks to their dominating victory last night in Tampa Bay's Raymond James Stadium over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
And there was hardly anyone happier than reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year in Micah Parsons, who is enjoying his first career win over the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
“Yeah, just because I haven’t beaten him yet. And who knows his future and stuff like that,” Parsons told reporters, per the team. “Regardless of whatever record says, he’s still a hell of a quarterback, they’re a hell of a team. It was a hell of a win tonight.”
The good news for Parsons is that he's not feeling any of the ill effects that had him noticeably limping at the end of last night's first half of play.
"I'm feeling good," Parsons said of his health. "I thought I finished the game well. Continuing to get my pressure, continued to keep going, understanding the circumstances I was faced with. I'm excited for next week, excited for the matchup."
Parsons then offered a message to Cowboys fans everywhere after the victory:
"Three more to go," he exclaimed. "Let's get it done!"
Parsons and the Cowboys are now headed to the NFC divisional round against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
