Former NFL quarterback Michael Vick says he is considering signing a one-day contract with the Atlanta Falcons to officially retire with the team who drafted him in 2001.

The 37-year-old has not played since 2015. He was the first overall pick in the 2001 NFL draft. "His tenure in Atlanta infamously ended when he was found guilty of dogfighting in 2007 and served 23 months in prison. The Falcons officially released him in 2009," per ESPN.

Vick played 143 games over 13 seasons in the NFL with the Falcons, Philadelphia EaglesNew York Jets and most recently, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He recorded 133 touchdown passes, 88 interceptions and 22,464 passing yards.
