Mike Tomlin a betting favorite to join Washington
Could the longtime Steelers coach depart and join the Commanders?

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin's run of winning seasons continued this year, leading the Steelers back to the playoffs and ensuring that his streak of not enduring a single losing season remained intact.
But could he soon be in line to join a different organization? After the Washington Commanders parted ways with Ron Rivera, Tomlin is now on the list of the betting favorites to fill that role, albeit well down the list. According to SportsBetting.Ag, Tomlin has been listed as 33/1 odds to take the Commanders coaching job.
Right now, Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is the leading candidate to take the role at 2/1 odds.
Meanwhile, according to Fox Sports Insider Jay Glazer, Tomlin joining the Commanders would make logistical sense.
“Hey Washington, he’s from Virginia,” Glazer said. “Perfect. I’m at least giving it a shot. I’m trying for it. If they decide to move away from Ron Rivera, you’ve got to swing away for a guy like that. If he’s on the hot seat, swing away. Mike Tomlin, he is, like I said, amongst his peers, he is “the guy.”
Just how strange would it be to see Tomlin on a different team's sideline next season?
