Mike Tomlin reacts to “disappointment” from Najee Harris
The Steelers head coach is sharing his thoughts.
The Pittsburgh Steelers decided not to pick up the 5th year option on the contract of Najee Harris, leading to understandable speculation regarding his future in Pittsburgh.
Yesterday, he admitted that there was some frustration on his part, calling the situation "disappointing" but something that he can't get upset over.
"I was disappointed for a minute, but it's nothing really where me sitting around being disappointed for too long will do anything to help me out," Harris said as the Steelers open training camp. "I think that it is what it is. You've got to keep pushing, and knowing that coming out here and doing what's best for the team and having a good year is what's most important right now."
And now, head coach Mike Tomlin is sharing his thoughts on the matter - essentially, he told the media that there was nothing more to add if Harris didn't choose to elaborate further.
”No need for me to add any more to his answer to your question," said Tomlin. "If that's what he was told, that's what he was told."
