Earlier this offseason, the Seattle Seahawks took a look at signing Colin Kaepernick. They brought him in for a workout but then ultimately decided to forego Kaepernick to sign infinitely worse quarterback Austin Davis. Then came the idea that Kaepernick wasn't actually interested in football. This is still the prevailing theory. Seahawks general manager John Schneider does not think this is the case:
But he still didn't sign him. That's the startling thing. You have a guy who fits your offense tremendously if Russell Wilson is to go down with an injury but instead you go with the unproven Trevone Boykin and the very bad Austin Davis.
