For the first time ever, an NFL team will officially sponsor an LGBT pride event. The Los Angeles Rams have announced this historic news on their official Twitter account, earlier today:
Rams VP of Community Affairs, Molly Higgins, said on the team's official website that "We are proud to work with Venice Pride and to stand in alignment with the LGBT community that is such an important part of the fabric of Los Angeles. Inclusion has always been a valued part of our organization and we see this as a unique way to publicly celebrate the diversity that makes this community so special."
According to The Rams Wire, famous guitarist and frontman of Rage Against The Machine, Tom Morello, said on social media that he approved his favorite team's decision:
"RIGHT ON!! It’s OK to be a fan of football AND equality despite what some of the bigoted, hateful comments here would indicate. THANK YOU @rams."
