An NFL player is fighting for his life today after being involved in a terrible car wreck.
According to NBC4, free-agent running back Isaiah Pead is in critical condition after being involved in a single-car accident Saturday morning in Columbus, Ohio.
Pead was reportedly driving his car eastbound on I-670 around 2:30 a.m. when he lost control and drove off the right side of the highway. The car went through a metal guardrail and went airborne. The vehicle also struck several trees as it cascaded down an embankment. A passenger, Wesley Richardson, was also transported to hospital but is in stable condition.
Pead spent four seasons with the St. Louis Rams after being a second-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. He suited up for three games with the Miami Dolphins earlier this season, and recently worked out for the Kansas City Chiefs.
