Brandon Marshall wanted to remain in New York, and he's done exactly that.

According to Newsday's Kimberley A. Martin, the free agent wide receiver has agreed to a two-year, $12-million deal with the New York Giants. The move will keep Marshall in the Big Apple after he was released by the New York Jets last week.

Marshall, who will turn 33 this month, wanted to remain close to the studio where he tapes a weekly appearance on Showtime's "Inside The NFL."

The Giants will now have one of the best possession receivers in the NFL to go along with All-Pro wideout Odell Beckham Jr. and 2016 second-round pick Sterling Shepard.

Marshall suffered somewhat of a down season in 2016,  catching 59 passes for 788 yards and three touchdowns. However, Marshall managed to top 1,000 yards receiving in eight of the previous nine campaigns.

The Giants now sport one of the most fearsome receiving units in the entire NFL.
