The Green Bay Packers are set with Jordan Love as their starting quarterback, and he's expected to soon sign a contract extension that could potentially make him the highest paid player at his position in NFL history. But in the meantime, Packers management has secured the services of another quarterback.

Free agent Jacob Eason, a former 4th round Draft selection of the Indianapolis Colts has been signed by Green Bay, who released long snapper Peter Bowden in a corresponding move.

Via the official press release:

"Eason (6-6, 226), a third-year player out of the University of Washington, was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round (No. 122 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He has played in two career games, one for the Colts in 2021 and one for the Carolina Panthers in 2022. Eason has also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants. He participated as a tryout player in the Packers' rookie minicamp back in May. Eason will wear No. 7 for the Packers."
