At the ESPY Awards Wednesday night, Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Mike Daniels revealed an interesting personality quirk about his quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.
He likes to haze his teammates. But not rookies. Rodgers likes to haze actual long-time vets.
Aaron likes to play pranks all the time," Daniels told ESPN's Adam Schefter. "You know how you haze rookies? Aaron hazes vets. I'm not talking about second or third-year players, Aaron hazes guys like Jordy and Ha-Ha, and Randall. He'll haze anybody. It's beautiful.
I remember one camp, they took a trash can, filled it up with a bunch of water and leaned it up against John Kuhn's door. It's like 2 AM during camp. One O-lineman just punched the door as hard as he could three times, and then he hid around the corner, and Kuhn opened up the door and it just flooded his whole dorm. He was UP-SET.
Later on in the night, Rodgers won the award for Best NFL Player for the fourth time in his career. Last year, his famous Hail Mary to Richard Rodgers earned him the award for the Best Play. Here's a little reminder for you, Packers fans:
The 12-year NFL veteran passed for 4,428 yards and 40 touchdowns last season. Overall, Rodgers has slung the rock for 36,827 yards, 297 TDs and only 72 interceptions.
Daniels has been quite a story lately. Earlier this week one media outlet argued that Daniels is a cheaper version of Miami Dolphins tackle Ndamukong Suh, except the Packer does the dirty work.
