Packers forced to respond to embarrassing Lions takeover of Lambeau Field
It was a sea of blue at Lambeau Field on Thursday night.

The Detroit Lions won their fourth straight game against their division rival Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, a convincing 34-20 victory that saw them lead 27-3 at halftime that led to booing from the Packers fans in attendance at Lambeau Field.
But as just about everyone noticed, there were plenty of Lions fans on hand - so many that it appeared almost as if they were taking over the venue.
"You would think that we were in Detroit with these fans," broadcaster Charissa Thompson said during the game.
Things got so bad for the Packers that the organization has put forward a statement:
“The Packers have encouraged our ticket holders to sell to other Packers fans when possible,” the statement read.. “The secondary market, however, allows fans from anywhere to purchase tickets and Lambeau Field remains a popular destination for all fans, including those from other teams. We have seen this particularly with divisional games.”
Statement or not, that's just embarrassing for the Packers. Meanwhile, the Lions are riding high as leaders in the NFC North division, which Green Bay would normally find themselves in.
The Packers, who are in their bye week, don't play again until next Monday when they visit Sin City to take on the Las Vegas Raiders. They don't play in front of their home fans for nearly a month until October 29 when they bring in the division rival Minnesota Vikings.
