Packers suffer pair of key injuries in loss
The entire late afternoon was a letdown!
The Football Feed
The Green Bay Packers lost a heartbreaker to the Atlanta Falcons yesterday, losing after blowing their 4th quarter lead thanks to sloppy defensive coverage combined with a furious comeback rally by the host Falcons.
Green Bay was shorthanded heading into the contest, as David Bakhtiari was not in action owing to undisclosed reasons. Additionally, they were without running back Aaron Jones and receiver Christian Watson, both of whom were dealing with hamstring injuries.
And now, you can go ahead and add more names to the injured list. Left guard Elgton Jenkins suffered a sprained MCL and will be needing an MRI to confirm the damage. As if that wasn't enough, pass rusher Lukas Van Ness suffered an elbow injury; neither player returned to the game after departing.
We'll have to wait and see if either player will be able to suit up in next week's home opener at Lambeau Field against the visiting New Orleans Saints.
