According to reports, New England Patriots strong-safety Patrick Chung will have almost a million more reasons to play his best this season:

The 29-year-old from Kingston, Jamaica signed an extension with the Patriots that would keep him on the team through 2018 on April 1, 2016.

The two-time Super Bowl champion safety was taken 34th overall in the second round of the 2009 draft by New England, as has played all but one of his eight seasons in the NFL with the team that drafted him.

Chung played in all 16 games last season, making 52 tackles, 39 assists, one sack and one interception.
