Peyton Manning spoke today about comments he made after Sunday's 20-18 win in the AFC Championship Game.
NFL Films picked up Manning telling Patriots' head coach Bill Belichick, “Hey, listen, this might my last rodeo. So, it sure has been a pleasure."
On Thursday Manning preferred to not to elaborate on the comments.
"I don’t know if it’s been confirmed or not," Manning said, smiling. "I mean what happened to private conversations on the 50-yard line? I guess they just don’t exist anymore. No confirmation on that whatsoever. We are on to Carolina."
Coach Gary Kubiak also spoke to the media but also kept the comment low-key.
"He hasn’t said anything to me," Kubiak said. "I know he’s enjoying the playoffs and enjoying this opportunity, this football team. I can’t speak for him. He’ll have to answer those questions. But I know it’s special to have him back in the huddle either way and just very proud of his work, getting back to be in this position."
