The Pittsburgh Steelers have already made one notable hire this offseason, bringing in former Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith as their new full-time offensive coordinator.
And now, the Steelers have brought in former NFL quarterback Matt Baker as an "offensive assistant". Baker spent four seasons in the NFL within the organizations of the Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and New Orleans Saints, though he never started a game.
Baker also has previous coaching experience, having served on the staff of Smith with the Falcons as well as Ole Miss. Additionally, Baker served as John Carroll’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
