Some fans are sick of seeing Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, but there was no need to take it out on the quarterback publicly...

During Monday's late afternoon news on KDKA, the Pittsburgh CBS affiliate, the station ran a caption identifying Brady not as “Patriots quarterback” but as “known cheater.”

The employee is now paying the heavy price as Pittsburgh's CBS affiliate fired the employee responsible for identifying Brady as a "known cheater" in a graphic displayed Monday during KDKA-TV's 4 o'clock news program.

CBS is the broadcaster for Super Bowl LIII.

This was first reported by Dan Gartland of Sports Illustrated.

"While fans are entitled to have personal opinions, we have a journalistic responsibility to provide unbiased reporting," KDKA said in a statement. "The graphic that appeared Monday violated our news standards. The individual who created the graphic no longer works for KDKA-TV."

This all stems from Brady getting suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season for his role in Deflategate. The Patriots also have a history of questionable conducts, as their videotaping of other teams' play-call signals from 2002–07 is the most infamous example.
