John Ross is a quick one.

The Washington wide receiver posted an official 40 time of 4.22 seconds at Saturday's NFL Scouting Combine workouts, breaking Chris Johnson's long-standing event record of 4.24.

Ross was already considered to be a first-round pick, and this latest showcase pretty much cements that.

Unfortunately, Ross wasn't among the combine athletes wearing Adidas shoes for his 40 run, meaning he won't be eligible for the company's offer of an Island for anyone who broke the record.

Ross came up limping after the dash, but is only dealing with calf cramps. He will not be taking part in a second attempt, and be left out of position drills.

However, scout's have probably seen all they need to see at this point.
