A player who had a breakout campaign this season has been busted for using performance enhancing drugs.
According to Master Tesfatsion of The Washington Post, ' linebacker is facing a four-game suspension due to his use of performance enhancing drugs.
It is worth noting that Murphy has decided to appeal the suspension.
The 26-year-old is coming off a career year, having recorded 47 tackles, nine sacks, and three forced fumbles, while playing in all 16 games.
Murphy ranked second on the Redskins in sacks, and losing him for the first quarter of the season would be a huge blow to their pass-rush. In fact, the team may be forced to use their first-round pick on an edge rusher should Murphy's appeal be unsuccessful.
Either way, this s very bad news for the Skins.
