Apparently there are mumblings that Aqib Talib may have actually pulled the Plaxico Buress move.
Following initial reports from Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio stating that the Denver Broncos' cornerback may have accidentally shot himself at a Dallas nightclub over the weekend, there are more details emerging regarding the shooting.
According to Mike Klis of 9News, Talib told friends that he accidentally shot himself in the leg during an altercation. The Broncos are also reportedly investigating whether Talib accidentally shot himself.
Talib was released from hospital Monday, but was unable to join the team on their visit to the White House.
According to WFAA-TV's Rebecca Lopez, Talib reportedly told police that he was too intoxicated to remember the events leading up to Sunday's shooting. “Everything was a blur, and I was too intoxicated to remember what happened," Talib told Dallas Police, as reported by Lopez.
Talib reportedly told police that he was at a park when he was shot at 3:40 a.m. on Sunday. However, police are investigating the possibility that Talib was at a strip club, instead of a park at the time of the shooting.
While shooting yourself in Texas is not considered a crime, lying to the police is considered a serious offence. This story seems to get stranger by the day.
