An NFL player gave a candid interview that the league probably will not be happy about.
Seattle Seahawks' wide receiver Doug Baldwin who received death threats for protesting the national anthem, revealed some of the NFL's dirtiest secrets in an upcoming interview with Bill Simmons on “Any Given Wednesday”.
In the first part of the interview Baldwin revealed how easy it can be for a player to cheat the NFL's concussion protocol. He believes that players can knowingly get back into games, despite undergoing a litany of sideline tests.
Baldwin, who is one of the most vocal players in supporting the protest against police brutality and race relations, goes on to state that an unnamed NFL owner demanded his players remain silent during the National Anthem, or face repercussions.
"Specifically, regarding the national anthem and the protests, the one quote that I was informed of was, 'You’re going to stand on the line with your hand on your heart and you're going to sing the national anthem because this is my stage," Baldwin said.
You can be sure that this interview will not sit well with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, as well as team owners.
