The Dallas Cowboys were linked to a number of rumored trades this week including a potential deal with the Denver Broncos for Mark Sanchez, and even some rumors of a potential trade with the Cleveland Browns to acquire Josh McCowa.

The Cowboys however made neither of those moves, and while this may only be a temporary solution, they instead chose to take the conservative route signing former Texas A & M product Jerrod Johnson. Johnson was cut by the Baltimore Ravens this week and while he has been signed many have speculated that it could be simply for the duration of the team's fourth and final prseason game.

One thing seems clear though, the Cowboys will be putting their full faith in Dak Prescott this season and giving him the reigns of the offense, so even if they do add some depth at QB it will likely be a veteran backup who won't compete very hard for Prescott's job.
