It appears Kris Richard could be on his way to Dallas.
Per Cowboys Wire, Richard was ousted when Seattle cleaned house on all of their assistants, including their coordinators following missing the playoffs. Dallas has kept their coordinators, for now.
"Scott Linehan is safe, but one thing that emerged in the past week is that the Cowboys offered to move current DC Rod Marinelli into a leadership position and name him assistant head coach. This would have allowed Eberflus to take the mantle as DC, but he refused, not wanting to disrespect Marinelli.
"There remains a possibility the club could offer the same deal to Richard. It is currently unknown what particular position the team is interviewing for.
"Richard has spent his entire career in the NFL coaching ranks with the Seahawks. He started as their assistant defensive backs coach in 2010 before being in charge of the corners in 2011. From there, he was head DBs coach from 2012 through 2014 before taking over for Dan Quinn and running the entire defensive from 2015 through last season."
