Report: Jordan Love set to make NFL history!
He could find himself in the record books soon!
The Green Bay Packers are set to open the 2024 NFL season with Jordan Love as their starter, the second season in a row that he's been the main man under center since the departure of Aaron Rodgers.
And while he's currently not practicing, he's going to be making some serious bank in short order. According to NFL Network analyst Chase Daniel, Love is in line to receive the largest contract in NFL history:
"The dude is worth in my opinion... you're going to see the highest paid contract to a player in NFL history," he said. "You're looking at starting at $55 million per year."
However, Daniel isn't the only one who thinks that Love will be receiving a record-breaking contract. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Love is going to be the highest-paid QB in League history, surpassing deals given to Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow.
"I think by the end of the week, my guess would be that Jordan Love will have a new contract that probably makes him one of the, if not the highest-paid quarterback in NFL history," Schefter told McAfee.
So far in his career, Love has thrown 35 touchdowns while racking up 4,765 passing yards and a 63.7% completion percentage.
