Sean Lee can't be a very happy man today. Not only is he unable to help his team finish the season strong, he's losing a ton of money in the process.
The Dallas Cowboys' linebacker was officially declared officially inactive today with a hamstring injury. The Cowboys called for Lee's salary to be $5 million as long as he played at least 80 percent of the Cowboys’ defensive snaps in 2015, but only $3 million if he plays less than 80 percent of the Cowboys’ defensive snaps.
That means when the Cowboys’ defense plays its 27th play today, and its 1,016th play of the season, Lee will officially have played less than 80 percent of the Cowboys defensive snaps on the year.
And he will officially lose $2 million dollars. I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles.
