The Seattle Seahawks have put an end to the Colin Kaepernick rumors, once and for all. They signed quarterback Austin Davis to add depth at this crucial position, even though the 28-year-old has not appeared in a game since 2015.
He spent the 2016 season with the Denver Broncos as the team's third QB. Seahawks' beat writer Gregg Bell has come up with an explanation on why Kaepernick remains unsigned:
Davis played three games with the Cleveland Browns two years ago. He completed 56 out of 94 passes, for one touchdown and three interceptions. He also played 10 games with the St. Louis Rams in 2014.
