When Aaron Hernandez was found guilty of murdering his friend Odin Lloyd we thought that nothing else we learned about the former Patriots' tight end could surprise us, we were wrong.
On Thursday details of Hernandez's latest legal troubles began to leak to the media, and while you would fully expect the details of a double murder trial to be gruesome, they were shocking even by those standards.
According to a report from Complex Sports, the two men who were murdered in this case made the mistake of accidentally bumping into Hernandez in a night club and spilled a drink on him, that was allegedly enough to earn them a death sentence.
Hernandez's former friend turned victim Alexander Bradley has told law enforcement that Hernandez fired five shots into the vehicle that contained victims Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado during a drive-by shooting, resulting in the death of both men. Bradley also told police that Hernandez bragged about his accuracy claiming he had hit one man in the head and the other in the chest.
Bradley himself became a victim when Hernandez shot him several months later, presumably in an effort to eliminate any potential witnesses. Bradley however claims it was because he told Hernadez that what he did the night of the doubled murder was "effed up."
Hernandez put a bullet in Bradley's head and left him for dead in a parking lot, but Bradley survive. Now he is fully cooperating with police and is expected to be a large part of their case against Hernandez.
