Shorthanded Dallas Cowboys linked to Ben Roethlisberger

This would be absolutely crazy.

The Dallas Cowboys are going to be without the services of quarterback Dak Prescott for at least the next eight weeks, as he suffered a thumb injury during his squad's Week 1 setback against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's since undergone successful thumb surgery.

And while team owner and general manager Jerry Jones has already stated that there are no plans to acquire outside help at the quarterback position, don't tell that to the folks at BetOnline.ag, who have recently retired and former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger currently listed at 50/1 odds to join Dallas in the near future.

The highest odds break down as follows:

Garret Gilbert (4/1), Ben DiNucci (5/1), Nick Foles (11/2), Gardner Minshew (6/1), Ryan Fitzpatrick (13/2), Mason Rudolph (14/1), Andrew Luck (66/1), Phillip Rivers (50/1) and Drew Brees (66/1).

During his final season with the Steelers in 2021, Big Ben completed 64.5% of his passes for 3,740 yards with 22 touchdowns and 10 interception.
