The NFL has handed a hefty fine to Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree after a sack dance performed during last game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Per the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Dupree was fined $12,154 by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct. It turns out Dupree’s sack dance was deemed sexually suggestive by the league.
Dupree thrust his hips several times after taking down quarterback Case Keenum. The league has relaxed its rules on player celebrations this season, but anything that is sexually suggestive in nature remains illegal.
Dupree was not penalized on the play. The Steelers won 26-9.
