With Marcus Gilbert limping around again on Sunday, the Steelers felt they needed to make a move to shore up the offensive line just in case. They've signed Jake Rodgers to fill the gap. Unfortunately, it means they have to release somebody. That guy is going to be receiver Justin Thomas.
Rodgers had been with the Steelers throughout training camp. He was a 7th round pick to Atlanta out of Eastern Washington.
Thomas played quarterback in college for Georgia Tech but was converted to receiver in the NFL.
