Steelers release major update on Kenny Pickett
This bodes well for Sunday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost quarterback Kenny Pickett during Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as he took a hard hit and was subsequently placed into concussion protocol. He would be replaced by Mitchell Trubisky, who would help lead the host Steelers to an upset win over Tom Brady and the visiting Bucs.
However, don't expect to see Trubisky back under center once again when the Steelers pay a visit to Hard Rock Stadium for a matchup with the Miami Dolphins this weekend. Pickett was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, potentially clearing the way for him to get the start once again.
“He looked good,” receiver Diontae Johnson said of Pickett’s Wednesday practice, via the team website. “He didn’t seem like nothing was wrong with him. He seemed locked in, ready to go for this week. Just normal Kenny out there bringing the same energy he brings every day. He looked good today. It didn’t seem like nothing was throwing him off, like he was fine throwing the ball.”
According to head coach Mike Tomlin, Pickett will play on Sunday against the Dolphins if he's medically cleared to do so.
Game time is set for 8:20 PM EST on Sunday from Miami.
