Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster suffered a concussion Friday night in his team's preseason game against the New York Giants.
Smith-Schuster got involved in the offense with a catch for four yards and a run for nine yards before his night came to an end. The rookie out of USC has been battling Eli Rogers for an opportunity to play slot receiver.
Clearly, the injury could hinder his chances at grabbing that slot spot in the immediate future. The 2017-second rounder went down when he tried to make a tackle after an interception.
Over three seasons at Southern Cal, Smith-Schuster hauled in 213 passes for over 3,000 yards and 25 TDs.
