NFL prospects get asked some strange questions leading up to the draft, but this question is one they should probably throw in the trash.
LSU safety Jalen Mills, who is a projected second- or third-round pick, shared one of the more uncomfortable questions he was asked during the interview process in a video for CBS Sports. For some reason an NFL team thought it was pertinent to ask Mills what was his preffered method to kill a man.
"One question was, 'If you wanted to kill a guy, would you kill him with a gun or a knife?'" Mills said.
Mills refused to reveal which team asked him the question, probably due to the proverbial backlash that would ensue, but did explain how it was graded.
"How they grade it is, if you choose the knife, now you're killing for fun, because you have to continuously stab somebody," he said. "But the gun is kind of quick."
Retired defensive end Austen Lane said he was asked the exact same question at the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine.
One just has to wonder who comes up with these questions, and how does this person still have a job.
