It appears that the San Diego Chargers have suffered a big loss in their season opening game.
Chargers' star wideout Keenan Allen was carted off the field in Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs with an apparent knee injury. Allen's knee appeared to buckle after very little contact from a defending player.
According to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribue, Allen has been ruled out for the rest of the game and the team fears he has suffered a torn ACL.
The 24-year-old was in tears as the cart took him to the locker room.
Allen was playing in his very first game since a lacerated kidney cut his season short in Week 8 of the 2015 season.
The 24-year old was well on his way to making a difference in this game as he carved up the Chiefs' defense for six catches and 63 yards in the first half.
