Torrey Smith's time in San Francisco may be close to ending.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the San Francisco 49ers' are open to trading their wide receiver prior to the NFL's trade deadline on November 1.
As per Pro Football Talk, multiple teams have expressed interest in acquiring the Maryland product. One of the most interested teams has been the Philadelphia Eagles, who have already begun making calls on the former second-round pick in 2011.
According to Spotrac, the 49ers would save $6 million in cap space and $1.6 million in dead cap by trading Smith. Smith was acquired by the 49ers in 2015 on a five-year, $40 million deal with $22 million in guaranteed money. The 6-foot, 205-pound receiver could offer a sizeable weapon for a team in need.
