Jimmy Garoppolo is the NFL's newest hot commodity.

According to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com, the Chicago Bears will make a "strong, concerted effort" to acquire the New England Patriots' backup quarterback.

The Cleveland Browns are also reportedly interested in the young pivot, with teams like the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers expected to join the pursuit if he's made available.

The news of the Bears' interest in Garoppolo means that they are ready to move on from longtime quarterback Jay Cutler. Chicago holds the third overall pick in this year's draft, but it is unlikely to part with that pick in exchange for Garoppolo. However, the do hold a plethora of picks which they could package in exchange for the veteran QB.

Chicago possesses high selections in the second and third rounds and two in the fourth, which could be used as leverage for Garoppolo.
