The Denver Broncos surprised many in the football world by matching the Miami Dolphins'sizable offer to restricted free-agent running back C.J. Anderson last month.
Now it appears the Broncos will also try to bring back Anderson's running mate from last season.
The team has reached out to Ronnie Hillman to let him know they want him back, Mike Klis of KUSA reports.
Hillman spent much of 2015 as the change of pace back in Denver's timeshare, but when Anderson re-signed to a four-year, $18-million deal, most assumed the Broncos would let Hillman walk.
With Hillman unable to find a new team in the first few weeks of free agency, it appears a reunion (perhaps on a one-year deal) could be in the best interests of both parties.
