The Dallas Cowboys aren't planning on taking any chances when it comes to their kicking game.
According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the Cowboys are working out free agent kickers Robbie Gould and Kai Forbath on Thursday. The reason for the search is because of Cowboys' kicker Dan Bailey's ailing back.
Bailey sat out practice on Wednesday and safety Jeff Heath took the kicking reps. Bailey missed a 47-yard field goal last week, but hit a 22-yarder and all his extra points.
It appears the team is not comfortable having a safety take kicks for them in a game situation, and would prefer having someone who kicks for a living in there.
