It's no secret that the Dallas Cowboys are in desperate need of pass-rushers, and short of bringing back defensive end Greg Hardy, the free agent market has become thin.
However, there is one free agent that the Cowboys have yet to look at, but maybe they should.
Free agent DE/OLB Dwight Freeney, who spent the 2015 season with the Arizona Cardinals, is currently without a team. Although he is 36-years old, Freeney is still a productive player. In 13 games with the Cardinals last season, Freeney managed 9.0 quarterback sacks and 3 forced fumbles.
To date there has been interest in Freeney from only one team, the Baltimore Ravens. They were interested in bringing in the linebacker as an insurance policy as Terrell Suggs recovers from a torn Achilles tendon.
Freeney is a seven-time Pro Bowler has recorded 119.5 sacks and 47 forced fumbles in 14 career NFL seasons.
This could be one player that could help the Cowboys reach opposing quarterbacks off the edge.
