Ezekiel Elliott's long-awaited preseason debut may finally take place Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys CEO Stephen Jones hinted Friday night.
Elliott, selected fourth overall by the Cowboys in the 2016 NFL Draft, missed the team's first two preseason contests due to a hamstring injury.
Jones is optimistic the Cowboys' prized rookie may be ready for the team's next game.
"It looks good right now. Obviously that's the goal," Jones said to Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News.
'Zeke' is currently recovering from a hamstring strain suffered during practice, but all reports indicate he will be ready for the start of the regular season. He is likely to be thrust into a featured role right off the bat, and is prepared to show the skill-set that helped him rack up an impressive 3,699 rushing yards and 41 touchdowns over two seasons at Ohio State.
